KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State punter
Joshua Huiet was honored this week for his work in the community, earning the Conference USA Spirit of Service Award.
The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing and participation in their sport. The Spirit of Service award is presented three times throughout the season, with these honorees representing men's cross country, football, women's soccer and volleyball.
Huiet has been a leader with Team Impact, making special team member Liam feel included and a part of the team. He spent quality time with Liam and his family, attending his birthday party, bowling outings, visiting him at school and taking him out for ice cream. He shares his kicking skills with Liam's kickball team as well.
Huiet and Liam also spend time together before each home game. The two of them have built a lasting bond and have created lifetime memories with each other.
On the field, Huiet was a master of field position for KSU all season, ranked fifth in the country in punts inside the 20 with 28, according to
Pro Football Focus. Nearly 44 percent of his punts are placed inside the opponents 20-yard line and only 19 percent of his punts are returned.
He recorded 64 punts on the season for 2,611 yards (40.8 yards per punt). Of his 64 punts, he boomed 10 for better than 50 yards.
Huiet was named a 2025 All-CUSA honorable mention and was also named to the Ray Guy watch list.
