KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Volleyball closes out the regular season with a pair of matches in the Land of Enchantment, as the Owls will face New Mexico State in Las Cruces on Thursday and Friday. Both games will have 8 p.m. starts, while just Thursday's game will have a live stream on ESPN+.
-This is a crucial series for KSU, as they need to win at least one match to clinch a top four seed in next week's Conference USA Tournament. KSU comes into the series against the Aggies with a 10-4 mark in league action, which currently has it in fourth place, though they could earn a tie with FIU for third if they can claim a sweep. FIU, at 12-2 in league action meanwhile is on the road at current conference co-leader UTEP.
- KSU has been steadily improving offensively each time out, and now rank 71st in the nation in hitting percentage as a team at 0.245, one of its highest in years and currently the fourth best in CUSA.
- It's a strong year for the conference in the national RPI rankings, as UTEP has appeared in the top 25 several times and is 19th this week while Western Kentucky is currently at 39. The Owls meanwhile are the fourth-highest team in CUSA at 91, while FIU is 89.
- The Owls are deadly behind the service line, ranking 21st in the nation with 1.90 saps.
