KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Volleyball is home for the first time since Sept. 14, as the Owls will host FIU in their Conference USA home opening series on Friday and Saturday in VyStar Arena. Friday's game will start at 7 p.m., while Saturday will be a 1 p.m. contest, and both games will be streamed live on ESPN+.
. This will be the second all-time series between the two schools, a season ago the two teams split a pair of matches in Miami.
- KSU split its conference opener at Middle Tennessee, falling 3-0 on Friday before bouncing back on Saturday with a 3-1 victory. FIU meanwhile claimed a pair of wins at home over Missouri State.
- KSU has been strong on its home court in conference play over the years, and especially in conference openers as they have won their past 12 straight home league openers (11 years in Atlantic Sun, as well as last year's win over New Mexico State which was also the Owls' first-ever win in conference play as a member of CUSA.
- The Owls are deadly behind the service line, ranking 5th in the nation with 2.31 saps.
- A year ago, the story about the Owls was the youth movement as they were routinely playing five freshmen each game, easily the most under Head Coach
Keith Schunzel's first 12 years in Kennesaw.
