Top Storylines:

• Red-hot Kennesaw State football heads out on the road for the first time in 45 days when it travels down to Miami to take on FIU on Tuesday night on ESPN2 at Pittbull Stadium.

•  Early into CUSA action and entering Midweek CUSA action, there’s currently a two-way tie for first place -- Kennesaw State (2-0) and Jax State (3-0).

•  The Owls are currently riding their first four-game winning streak since 2021, capping the current streak the last time out with a 35-7 victory over Louisiana Tech.

• Kennesaw State rolled up 400 yards of offense for the second time this season and is averaging 363.0 yards per game halfway through the season.

• r-Sr. QB Dexter Williams II earned two national honors for his performance, getting lauded in the Davey O’Brien’s “Great 8” list and the Manning Award Stars of the Week for his 290 passing yards and four passing touchdowns.

• r-Sr. OL JT Pennington also claimed his second CUSA Offensive Lineman of the Week award for his performance, recording the CUSA’s top PFF pass blocking rating (88.0) for Week 7, playing 65 snaps and not relenting a sack, QB hit or hurry.

• r-Sr. WR Gabriel Benyard continues to show out, currently sitting second in CUSA with 398 receiving yards in addition to his league-best 11.4 yards per punt return that also ranks 20th in the country.

• Kennesaw State’s defense has also played lights out of late, holding teams to just 20.5 points per game, which ranks second in Conference USA.

• For his performance against LA Tech, R-Sr. DL Tylon Dunlap earned Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week, recording eight tackles and a career-high 2.0 sacks.

• Dunlap tallied the top overall defensive grade (90.4) in the nation among defensive tackles, according to Pro Football Focus and the top PFF pass rush grade (90.3) in CUSA for Week 7.

• After the first drive by LA Tech that resulted in a touchdown, Kennesaw State held the Bulldogs to just 235 yards (3.8 yards per play) and 96 yards of rushing .

• r-Sr. LB Baron Hopson continues to be one of the conference’s best, ranking second in the league at 9.3 tackle/game after his fourth double-digit tackle game against LA Tech -- only three players in FBS have more.
