KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State Volleyball is back in Kennesaw for a four-game homestand, and invites all fans to help celebrate the KSU faculty and staff members at the Owls' Faculty & Staff Appreciation Match on Friday against Jacksonville State at 7 p.m. in VyStar Arena. KSU will also host Jax State on Saturday at 2 p.m. to close out the weekend series.
. The KSU players have invited faculty & staff members who have had a profound impact on them throughout their time at KSU for Friday's contest. A special recognition for these faculty & staff members will be held during the second and third set break.
- Kennesaw State got through a key stretch of its first three weeks in Conference USA play with a 4-2 mark that includes a pair of road splits including a big 3-2 victory at Liberty this past Saturday.
- The Owls are now one of four teams tied for third in the league standings with a 4-2 mark, and have the opportunity to break away from the middle of the league thanks to its upcoming four-game homestand.
- First up for the Owls in VyStar Arena will be this weekend's contests against Jacksonville State. KSU leads the overall series between the two 8-3, and have won the past five meetings including both games a year ago in CUSA play in Jacksonville.
- The Owls are deadly behind the service line, ranking 16th in the nation with 2.00 saps.
- A year ago, the story about the Owls was the youth movement as they were routinely playing five freshmen each game, easily the most under Head Coach
Keith Schunzel's first 12 years in Kennesaw.
