KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball brings a nine-game home win streak into Thursday night's nationally televised showdown with Liberty, as the two teams will tip off at 8 p.m. in the KSU Convocation Center on CBS Sports Network.
A FEW NOTES
♦ This will make the Owls' second appearance on CBS Sports Network this season, as KSU took down No. 24 Rutgers 79-77 on Nov. 24. KSU is 2-0 all-time in nationally televised games from the Convocation Center.
♦ This is the first meeting between the two former Atlantic Sun rivals since the 2023 ASUN championship game, won by the Owls 67-66 in the Convocation Center. The Owls also claimed an 88-81 home win weeks earlier over Liberty for a 2-0 sweep that season over the Flames.
♦ The Owls have one of the top home court advantages in the nation over the past three years. Since the start of the 2022-23 season, KSU is 33-5 on its home court, including 9-0 this year.
♦ A huge difference for Kennesaw State this year is its work on the defensive side. A year ago, the Owls ranked 186th in field goal percentage defense and 263rd in three-point percentage defense. KSU has made a complete turnaround in 2024-25, ranking 37th in the nation in field goal defense at 40.1%, which is also fourth in Conference USA.
♦ KSU has been pounding the boards this season, as the Owls currently rank fourth in the nation in rebounding at 43.0 per game, which paces Conference USA. They are also 22nd in rebound margin at +7.0, second-best in the league.
♦ Guard Adrian Wooley is currently the sixth-highest scoring freshman in the nation at 18.1 ppg.
