KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball looks to stay undefeated at home this season as the Owls host preseason conference favorite Louisiana Tech on Saturday in the Convocation Center. The game, which is part of Conference USA's Mental Health Awareness campaign, tips off at 5 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
A FEW NOTES
♦ Kennesaw State has won eight straight at home this season, with the most recent a thrilling come-from-behind 75-69 overtime victory over Sam Houston on Thursday night.
♦ Through its first 16 games, the Owls are 9-0 in the state of Georgia, 1-2 in Canada, 0-3 in California, 0-1 in Kentucky and 0-1 in Tennessee.
♦ The Owls' eight-game home win streak is currently tied for the 36th longest active streak in the nation. Louisiana Tech meanwhile has played just six total road games this season, and are 2-4 in those games, with wins at UT Arlington (92-77) and Louisiana (69-58). The Bulldogs have lost all three games on the road in CUSA play, including Thursday night's 63-61 setback at Jax State.
♦ A huge difference for Kennesaw State this year is its work on the defensive side. A year ago, the Owls ranked 186th in field goal percentage defense and 263rd in three-point percentage defense. After the first 14 games in 2024-25, KSU has made a complete turnaround, ranking 48th in the nation in field goal defense at 40.4%, which is also fourth in Conference USA.
♦ KSU has been pounding the boards this season, as the Owls currently rank fourth in the nation in rebounding at 43.7 per game, which paces Conference USA. They are also 34th in rebound margin at +6.8, second-best in the league.
♦ Guard Adrian Wooley is currently tied for the fifth-highest scoring freshman in the nation at 18.7 ppg, along with Cooper Flagg from Duke.
