KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State University athletics is proud to announce its collaboration with the College Football Playoff Foundation in honoring Kennesaw Elementary School's
Catherine White, who has committed over a decade inspiring students as a music educator.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions to music education and her impact on the community, Kennesaw State athletics, as part of the College Football Playoff Foundation Extra Yard for Teachers initiative, has donated $1,000 to support her efforts.
"We are honored to partner with the College Football Playoff Foundation in recognizing Catherine White and supporting the vital work she does," said director of athletics
Milton Overton. "At Kennesaw State, we believe in the transformative power of education and are proud to contribute to such a deserving cause."
The donation, made possible through the College Football Playoff Foundation, underscores KSU athletics' commitment to supporting educators who inspire and empower the next generation. The College Football Playoff Foundation aims to harness the platform of college football to elevate education across the country, aligning perfectly with KSU athletics' mission to serve its community.

Jacob Dye, assistant athletics director for marketing and fan experience. "Her unwavering passion and tireless efforts have enriched the lives of so many students, making a lasting impact on our community."
Kennesaw State will recognize White on field during its football game against UT Martin on Saturday, Sept. 28. The Owls surprised her at Kennesaw Elementary School with the news, as well as with tickets for her and her students to attend the game.
