GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After battling tough conditions, Kennesaw State couldn't overcome a sharp Gator attack with a 3-0 final on the road Thursday night.
First Half
In the 34
th minute, A Florida attacker was able to sneak past the back line for KSU and rocket a shot past the keeper for the first score of the game.
Shortly after,
Aryana Rosenblum was involved in a nasty collision toward the top of the box in an attempt to punch the ball away. A Florida attacker ran into the freshman resulting in her exit of the game. Redshirt freshman
Caroline Wehr entered the game for the first time in her collegiate career.
Where showcased an impressive first save with seven minutes left to play diving to her right to scoop a bending shot up from the Gators.
With less than three minutes left, the Gators were able to jump out to a 2-0 lead over the Owls thanks to a penalty kick.
Second Half
Four minutes into action, Florida scratched across another score after an impressive shot bent its way into the top right corner of the goal.

Raelyn Prince made her first start as an Owl.
Defender
Jade Barkett appeared in her first game since Ga. Southern, earning the start.
Wehr earned her first minutes dawning the Black and Gold.

The Owls will have a week off before facing the Florida Gators Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. in Gainesville, Fla.
