2024 marks an historic year for Kennesaw State Athletics and KSU football. This fall, the Owls will compete in their 10th season of competition and first as a member of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) and Conference USA. 

To honor the upcoming season, a commemorative logo was created. This logo will stand as the symbol for Owl football as the team, coaches and fans journey into this new era for the Black and Gold.

The Kennesaw Mountain Peaks

A picturesque backdrop to Fifth Third Stadium and the campus of Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw Mountain has been synonymous with KSU since its inception in 1963.

Fifth Third Stadium

Kennesaw State football has known no other home than the friendly confines of Fifth Third Stadium. On this home field, the Black and Gold boast a 44-9 all-time record.

10th Season, Year One

The ‘10’ stands tall as the centerpiece for the logo, marking 2024 as the 10th season of competition for KSU on the gridiron. The ‘1’ in black separates to mark the first season for the Owls as a member of CUSA and the FBS.

Kennesaw State football's first season of competition was in the fall of 2015.

Seven Big South Seasons. Three Conference Titles. Four Postseason Berths.

The football surrounding the interlocking KS logo features three important components with ties vital to the history of the football program.

The seven laces at the top represent the Owls' tenure in the Big South Conference - the first conference KSU football competed in.

Three of the seven laces feature a white border, symbolizing Kennesaw State's three Big South Football Championships in 2017, 2018 and 2021.

The four marks at each corner of the football stand for the Black and Gold's four NCAA Playoff appearances that all came in the Owls' first six fall seasons (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021).
