Jecnik's Splendid Performance Leads Owls to Seventh Place Finish

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Owls were able to hold their spot in seventh to finalize the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate Tuesday afternoon in Jacksonville, Fla.

The team finished with a three-over 867 with round three being the lowest total at 284, seven strokes better than round two. The finish for KSU was one spot better than last year's squad.

Lara Jecnik recorded another stellar day finishing the second round with a four-under 68 and the third round with a one-under 71. Her total score was six-under 210 to score her a sixth-place finish individually. Her 139 score through 36 holes marked a career best. Jecnik's previous record was 140 at the 2021 ASUN Championship. It's the first time this season she has recorded a below par score in all three rounds of a tournament.

The best rounds of the day go to Bella Kil and Sabrina Kim who both scored a two-under 70 in round three. Kim concluded with a top 25 finish and an even 216 on the tournament. Kil ended with a seven-over 223.
 
Nyah Kelly continued her strong season with a two-over 218 after earning a one-over 73 on round three.
 
Competing as an individual, Caitlyn Campbell-Nyman saved her best for last tallying a even round three score to concluded with a 225 total. Cameron Neilson concluded with a 238 score.

Tee Time
The Owls will compete at home for the only time this season in the Pinetree Intercollegiate starting March 25 in Kennesaw, Ga.
