Fort Myers, Fla - The Kennesaw State women's tennis team concluded weekend play with a matchup against FGCU. The Owls fell short 5-2 against the Eagles on Saturday afternoon.
 
How It Happened
The Owls secured the doubles point gaining the first point of the match. Taylor Dean and Ema Barniakova defeated Ida Ferding and Fanny Norin 7-5 on court one. Clinching the doubles point were Sophia Unger and Ivana Gresova on court three defeating Jordana Ossa and Lola Glantz 6-4.
 
FGCU jumped out in the singles competition obtaining five single match points to claim the win. Sophomore Sofia Madrid had a strong performance defeating Paloma Goldsmith 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 on court three.

The Owls will continue their season on the road in Tennessee on Friday, Apr. 5 taking on Austin Peay at 11 a.m. ET/ 10 a.m. CT.
