RICHMOND, Ky. – Defensive miscues lifted Eastern Kentucky 3-0 (23-4) over the Owls (10-21) in the final game of the series Sunday in Richmond, Ky.
The third inning ultimately buried the Owls with a three-error saga that allowed two runs for the Colonels.
With two outs in the sixth inning, 
Ty Hardeman earned the first hit of the game for the Owls with a double into the right center field gap.
EKU's staff was brilliant as they held off the Owls for a 3-0 final in favor of the Colonels.
Spotlight Performance
Melanie Bennett pitched six innings with five strikeouts while only surrendering one earned run; It's her fourth straight outing with three or more inning pitched
Ava Guzowski and 
Madison Miller both made marvelous defensive plays that either saved a run or ended the inning
On Deck
It's back-to-back midweeks at Bailey Park starting with Georgia Tech Tuesday and #5 Georgia with both games starting at 6:30 p.m.
