Full 2024 Schedule | Spring Game Details | Season Ticket Renewals
KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State football and the Indiana University have agreed to a non-conference matchup in Bloomington scheduled for the 2025 season. The contest will take place Sept. 6, with kickoff time announced later.
The game will be the first in series history between the two programs and will mark KSU's first competition against a Big Ten football opponent. The Owls officially become members of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) on July 1, 2024, and will compete within Conference USA.
In 2024, Kennesaw State faces an exciting lineup during its Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) debut after Conference USA revealed its matchups for the 2024 season in February. The Owls enter only their 10th year of competition with home matchups against defending champion Liberty and bowl-winner Jacksonville State, along with five first-time opponents.
KSU previously announced its 2024 FBS non-conference opponents that includes opening the season at UTSA Aug. 31, its first FBS home game against Louisiana Sept. 7, and venturing to San Jose State Sept. 14.
KSU began spring practice Wednesday, and the spring season culminates with the annual spring game set for Friday, April 19 inside Fifth Third Stadium. More details surrounding the event will be announced soon.
Head coach Brian Bohannon takes the program into the 10
th season of on-field competition in 2024 with new coordinators on both sides of the ball. Co-coordinators are Chandler Burks and Stewart Cook take over offensive responsibilities. Since the start of KSU football, Cook has been on staff every season and Burks has played or coached in nine of the 10 campaigns.
Greg Harris takes over as defensive coordinator after spending four years as the linebackers coach at Kennesaw State. Harris leads a defensive unit that held opponents to 17.9 points per game which ranked ninth in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
The spring season will provide the first on-field look at the
highest-ranked recruiting class in program history. A strong variety of mid-year enrollees will take the field aiming to compete within an experienced roster. The Owls return the following: eight of the top-10 rushers, nine of the top-10 receivers, seven of its top-10 tacklers, and eight of its top-10 scorers.
