KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State (6-16) lost two narrow decisions Sunday afternoon to South Dakota State (13-14) at Bailey Park.
Game One (L, 2-0)
SDSU got the initial jolt with one run scored in each of the first two innings.
Kenley Hilleary entered the game in the second inning and recorded a timely punchout with runners on the corners. The Owls couldn't overcome the deficit falling 2-0 in the first game.
Spotlight Performance
Kenley Hilleary was superb in her appearance in game one, dealing 5.1 innings of run less ball along with four strikeouts
Game Two (L, 3-2)
SDSU jumped out to a three-run lead with one in the second inning and two in the third.
Ty Hardeman had an incredible game, earning two RBIs, accounting for all of Kennesaw State's runs. She injected life into the offense with an RBI single up the middle to plate the first run of the day in the fifth inning. In the seventh inning, she then lasered a double over the center fielder's head to record her second RBI. She would end up being the tying run in the seventh inning but was stranded at third base.
The Jackrabbits closed it out with a 3-2 victory.

Kassidy Amerson-Fox was disciplined taking two walks, a stolen base and a run scored
Emma Friedel diced up the Jackrabbits for four innings only surrendering three hits
On Deck
The Owls are just getting started at home with 6 straight beginning with UTSA at 1 p.m. followed by Mercer on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
