STATESBORO, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis battled to the end but came up on the short end of a 4-3 loss at Georgia Southern at the Wallis Tennis Center on Wednesday.
The Eagles won four singles matches to take home the win.
The Eagles won the first doubles match to finish on court two. KSU then picked up a 6-4 win from
Joel Gibson and
Anthony Weingarten over Laurent Julia Calac and Matthew Mitchell on court one. The Owls would clinch the point on court one as
Harvey Conway and
Raul Garcia beat Pol del Castillo and Dimitris Paliouras by a score of 6-4.
The Eagles tied the match after a win on court two.
Raul Garcia gave the Owls the lead as the senior downed Pierre Mouesca 6-3, 6-4, on court one. The Eagles tied it with a win on court three.
Sam Baldwin beat Laurent Julia Calac 2-6, 6-3, 6-3 and gave the Owls a 3-2 lead. The Eagles were able to pick up a pair of three-set wins on courts four and six to seal the win.

The Owls will host Jacksonville State on Sunday, February 11 at 3 p.m.
