KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State women's lacrosse closes out the month of February with a home contest against Mercer on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Fifth Third Stadium. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.
A FEW NOTES
» Kennesaw State has been on a roll to start the season, as the Owls are off to a school-record 4-1 start through the first five games. KSU has also already match last year's total win total, with one game left to play in the first month of the season.
» The Owls are also a tested team, having played five games so far, while their opponent on Wednesday will be playing just its third match of the year. Mercer brings a 1-1 mark into the contest, with a win over Davidson and a loss to Virginia Tech on its resume this season..
» The Owls have been explosive on offense, as they currently are tied for first in the nation in scoring at 20 goals per game, while their overall 100 total goals is first in the NCAA as well.
» KSU and Mercer have met nine times on the lacrosse field, and the Bears own an 8-1 lead in the series. That includes a perfect 4-1 mark in Kennesaw.
» The Owls bring back 21 letterwinners from last season's team, including eight starters. They are joined by an 11-member newcomer class.
