RIO VERDE, Ariz. – The Owls leaped into fourth place after the completion of day two in the Rio Verde Invitational Saturday evening.
It was an even better performance than the day before for Kennesaw State as they compiled a team score of 286, just one of four teams under par on the day. That leaves the Owls nine-over 585 between the two days.
Scorecard
It was nearly an identical day for
Nyah Kelly as she still sits near the top at tied for sixth after posting an even 72.
The strongest performance of the day came from
Bella Kil who posted a three-under 69. She was one of just six golfers that posted a score in the 60's. She jumped into being tied for the 11
th spot with a 144 total score. She is now tied for third for most birdies with eight.
Lara Jecnik also had an incredible day shooting a one-under 71, reducing her day one total by six strokes. She is now four-over 148 through 36 holes. She is leading the circuit with 31 pars.
Both
Cameron Neilson and
Sabrina Kim improved their scores by several strokes. Neilson improved by two, ending with a two-over 74. Kim ended with a 76, down five from her 81 on day one.
