CULLOWHEE, N.C. - The Kennesaw State women's tennis team collected their second win of the season against Western Carolina with a dominating 6-1 performance. With the victory, the Owls lead the all-time series with the Catamounts, 5-2.
 
How It Happened
The Owls secured the doubles point to set the tone early. Ema Baraniakova/ Taylor Dean defeated Angela Perez Barro/ Isabelle Sambola (WCU), 6-4. Following in pursuit to secure the doubles point was Izabelle Persson/ Sofia Madrid dominating Dasha Osadova/ Madison Schwarz (WCU), 6-1.
 
In singles play KSU did not let up, and only allowed WCU one singles point. Laura Nadaska def. Dasha Osadova, 6-3, 6-0. Izabelle Persson def. Andrea Redondo, 6-4, 6-1. Sophia Unger def. Madison Schwarz, 6-0, 6-2. Sofia Madrid def. Angela Perez Barro, 7-6, 6-3. Ema Baraniakova brought the win home by defeating Jade Groen, 3-6, 6-3, 1¹⁰-0⁸.
