KENNESAW, Ga. – In what is the first men's basketball Senior Night of the season, Kennesaw State will honor four seniors that have left a lasting impact on the Black and Gold as the Owls host North Florida on Friday night at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center.
Terrell Burden,
Demond Robinson,
Cole LaRue and
Armani Harris will all be recognized before the game during the Senior Night ceremony.
Friday is also Cartersville Community Night, with a BOGO for Cartersville-area fans, as well as a 4-for-$40 ticket deal that includes two upper section tickets for the men's game along with two general admission tickets for women's basketball, who are playing at home on Saturday.
A FEW NOTES
♦ Burden, Robinson, LaRue and Harris were integral in helping KSU become the fastest team in NCAA history to go from a one-win season to March Madness, as the Owls swept the 2023 Atlantic Sun Conference regular season and tournament titles while receiving their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
♦ KSU is looking to avenge its loss to the Ospreys a month ago, as the Owls went down to Jacksonville and were handed an 84-75 setback on Jan. 18. A win for the Owls on Friday against UNF would both tie the season series at 1-1, it would also move KSU up in the race for a conference tournament berth. The top 10 teams in the ASUN will play in next month's postseason tournament, and only first-place Eastern Kentucky has clinched a spot. The Owls are currently alone in ninth place at 5-7, half a game behind Central Arkansas and FGCU.
♦ Under first-year head coach
Antoine Pettway, the Owls are playing at the sixth-fastest pace in the nation (according to KenPom). In addition, KSU also ranks eighth in the NCAA in fastbreak points (16.1 ppg), sixth in three-point field goal attempts per game (29.5) and 16th in scoring per game (83.6 ppg). Senior guard
Terrell Burden meanwhile is 12th in the nation in assists per game (6.2).
