KENNESAW, Ga. – Two teams with identical overall and conference records will square off on Wednesday night, as Kennesaw State will host Jacksonville in a key Atlantic Sun Conference contest for both teams at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center.
Wednesday will be "Love and Basketball" and "Kennesaw Community Night" at KSU, with several ticket deals available to fans including a BOGO for Kennesaw-area fans, as well as a 4-for-$40 ticket deal that includes two upper section tickets for the men's game along with two general admission tickets for women's basketball, who are playing at home on both Thursday and Saturday.
A FEW NOTES
♦ With the top ten teams in the conference receiving bids to the 2024 ASUN Tournament, an Owl win on Wednesday would give them the tiebreaker over JU, after KSU claimed a four-point win in Jacksonville in January. That would be key for an Owl squad that will have to finish the regular season with three road games after their Senior Night game on Friday against North Florida.
♦ The Owls are looking for their first-ever three-game win streak over JU after claiming the only meeting between the two teams a year ago in Kennesaw. The Dolphins, winners of three of their last four games, are still looking for their first ASUN road win of the season.
♦ Under first-year head coach
Antoine Pettway, the Owls are playing at the fifth-fastest pace in the nation (according to KenPom). In addition, KSU also ranks seventh in the NCAA in fastbreak points (16.4 ppg), fifth in three-point field goal attempts per game (29.8) and 14th in scoring per game (84.3 ppg). Senior guard
Terrell Burden meanwhile is 11th in the nation in assists per game (6.3).
