KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball is set for its first road challenge of the season, as the Owls will play in the Golden State in a Saturday night contest at California Baptist. The game tips off at 8 p.m. (ET) and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

 A FEW NOTES
♦ Saturday's game is part of the CUSA / WAC scheduling agreement, that will also see the Owls host another WAC school, Abilene Christian, in Kennesaw on Nov. 20.
♦ It's a new look Owl roster this year, as just three players that saw significant time a year ago are on the active roster for this season (Simeon Cottle, Rongie Gordon, Frankquon Sherman). They will be joined by transfers Andre Weir (FGCU) and Ricardo Wright (SMU), while the Owls also boast the 32nd-ranked freshman recruiting class in the nation that is expected to make an immediate impact on the court right from the start.
♦ That freshmen class has made an immediate impact, as they combined for 75 points, and 68.2% of the Owls' total scoring production in the season-opening win over Toccoa Falls.
♦ The Owls will play a heavily loaded home schedule to start the season, with five of the first six games in the friendly confines of the Convocation Center, starting with the contest against Toccoa Falls. The lone road game in the opening stretch is Saturday's road at Cal Baptist.
♦ This is KSU's first trip to California since the 2022-23 season, when the Owls fell at eventual NCAA championship runner-up San Diego State on Dec. 12, 2022. This is also KSU's first game against a team from the WAC since a 66-54 road loss at Seattle on Nov. 30, 2017. The only other meeting against a WAC school was as a D2 program at Utah Valley (78-43 win on Nov. 21, 2003).
