KENNESAW, Ga. –
Making it two-for-two, Adrian Wooley was named Conference USA Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week for a second straight week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. Wooley is now just the second player in school history to receive multiple Freshman or Newcomer of the Week awards, as Kendrick Ray was named four times in the 2015-16 season by the Atlantic Sun.

Wooley, a 6-5 freshman guard from Tuscaloosa, Ala., averaged 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals per game while leading the Owls to a 2-0 week and a 3-1 overall record. He made 10-of-19 from the floor for 52.6% and was 5-of-10 from three-point range for 50%.

In a win over Bryan College, he flirted with a double-double after posting 13 points and career-highs in rebounds (nine) and assists (seven). Against Presbyterian in an 18-point victory, he poured in 13 points and collected a career-high three steals. Currently he is 12th in CUSA in scoring (14.8 ppg) and ranks seventh in assists with 4.3 agp, while his 50% shooting from three-point range is fourth-best in the conference.

NEXT TIME OUT: The Owls host Abilene Christian on Wednesday at 7 p.m, followed by a Sunday, Nov. 24 game against No. 24 Rutgers 1 p.m. in the Convocation Center. The game against ACU will be streamed on ESPN+, while the contest against the Scarlet Knights will be on CBS Sports Network.
