KENNESAW, Ga. – Manu Johnsen has been excelling both on the court and in the classroom, and was honored for her academic success on Friday as she was named to the 2024 Conference USA Volleyball All-Academic squad, the conference office announced on Friday.
An junior outside hitter from Copenhagen, Denmark, Johnsen ranks in the top 100 in the NCAA and is third in CUSA in kills per set at 3.82, and is second in points per set at 4.41. She also ranks among the nation's leaders in total kills with 390, and recently became the fastest player in Owl history to reach 1,000 kills, hitting the mark in her 76
th career match in a win over Sam Houston. Johnsen has also been on the Dean's list every semester at KSU, was recognized as a Presidential Scholar three semesters, and also earned 2023 CSC Academic All-District honors.
