Owls Host Annual NFL Pro Day in March

1/31/2024 1:20:00 PM

KENNESAW, Ga. –The Kennesaw State football team is set to host its annual NFL Pro Day on Friday, Mar. 15. The invitation-only event allows draft-eligible student-athletes to be evaluated by scouts from National Football League teams in advance of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Last year, Kennesaw State had over 40 professional scouts at the event.

Participating student-athletes have been recommended by their college head coach and competed at the NCAA Division I FCS, Division II, Division III and NAIA levels.

The event comes one year after Kennesaw State had its first-ever NFL Draft pick, Travis Bell, who was selected in the seventh round by the Chicago Bears. Bell shined during the showcase and posted 30 bench press reps, the most of any participant.

The evaluation and measuring are scheduled to begin around 8:30 a.m. at The Perch at the KSU Sports and Entertainment Park. The event is closed to the general public.

The participants in KSU's Pro Day will be timed in the 40-yard dash, 20 and 60-yard shuttles, and three-cone drill before going through position work. Other measurable drills held during the day will include the bench press, broad jump and vertical jump.

The prospects will also go through a flexibility test and have their height, weight, hand width, arm length and wingspan measured by personnel from NFL teams.
