KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State's
Hannah Barth has been named to the preseason conference team for the first time in her career, as she represented the Owls on the 2024 Atlantic Sun Preseason Women's Lacrosse All-Conference team, the league office announced on Wednesday.
The ASUN also released its preseason Coaches' Poll with the Owls finishing in a tie for fifth with Lindenwood. Jacksonville is the preseason favorite with 47 points and three first-place votes, just ahead of Liberty who was second with 44 points, and the other two remaining first-place votes. 35 points and five first-place votes.
Barth, a senior attacker from Herndon, Va., paced the Owls in both total points with 46 and assists with 22, while also recording 24 goals on the season, fourth-best on the squad. She started all 17 games in 2023 in her first year as a starter, and has made 48 total appearances for KSU entering her fourth year with the Black and Gold.
The Owls, who bring back a pair of All-ASUN selections as well as the 2023 ASUN Freshman of the Year in
Shannon Harrington, will officially open the 2024 season on Monday, Feb. 12 with a road contest at Reinhardt. KSU will host first-year program South Florida in an exhibition contest on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 11 am at Fifth Third Stadium.
