KENNESAW, Ga. – Redemption is on the mind Kennesaw State as they face Eastern Kentucky for the first time since the Colonels took down the Owls in the 2022 ASUN Championship quarterfinals.

Series History
History favors the Owls has they currently hold a 2-1 all-time lead over EKU. The previous matchup marked the only loss for KSU as they fell 1-0 in the ASUN Championship. It broke Kennesaw State's impressive streak of making it to three straight ASUN finals matches. The goal differential in all three games is +4 for KSU after they took the opening match back in 2012, 3-0 and manufactured a 2-0 victory in its first faceoff mid-October last season.

Scouting
It's been a sluggish start to the year for EKU as they sit at 2-6-2 and currently 1-1-1 in ASUN play. Their wins have been over Austin Peay and Eastern Michigan with recent draws with Lipscomb and Queens. Win or lose, the previous four matches for EKU have been decided by one score.

Atlantic Sun Successes
ASUN play has been kind to the Owls over the last few seasons earning at least four wins versus conference opponents each year since 2018. Dating back to 2005, the black and gold have accrued a 95-52-14 record versus the ASUN. Head coach Benji Walton has been responsible for a 31-12-6 record in his eight seasons.

Next Match
It's time to take to the road again as they face the defending ASUN Champions in FGCU Thursday Sept. 28.
