KENNESAW, Ga. – The Owls soccer team is still in search of their first conference win as they face a team that has yet to beat them in the all-time series, the Bellarmine Knights.
Series History
Kennesaw State has planted its flag squarely in the first five matchups versus Bellarmine holding a 5-0 advantage. Of the last three face offs, two have been in the post season in the ASUN Championship. Thursday's dual tallies the fourth time that the Knights have traveled to the Peach State with only one trip to Louisville for KSU. The defense has been stifling for KSU only allowing two total goals in the five games while one goal being the highest single game result for the Knights.
Scouting
The Knights have won a DI-era program-record three straight games but look to turn things around after dropping three straight matches. They also will be in search of their first ASUN win. Bellarmine is spearheaded by coach Paul Babba as he enters his second year.
Atlantic Sun Successes
ASUN play has been kind to the Owls over the last few seasons earning at least four wins versus conference opponents each year since 2018. Dating back to 2005, the black and gold have accrued a 95-52-13 record versus the ASUN. Head coach Benji Walton has been responsible for a 31-12-5 record in his eight seasons.
Next Match
It's a quick home turnaround as the Owls will take on Eastern Kentucky Sept. 24 at 1 p.m.
