KENNESAW, Ga. – Following one of the best weekends in program history, Kennesaw State's McKinley Ferguson has been named the Atlantic Sun Volleyball Setter of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. Ferguson picks up her first weekly honor of the season and the fourth of her career. She is also the second Owl to earn weekly honors this season.

Ferguson, a senior from Jasper, Ala., currently leads the Atlantic Sun in assists with 10.0 per set, which also ranks her 53rd in the nation. She played a huge role in helping the Owls claim back-to-back wins over Power Five teams for the first time in school history. In the Owls' first game of the Kennesaw State Invitational, she registered 50 assists, eight digs and three kills in a 3-2 victory over Wake Forest. She topped that the next night, as KSU rallied from a 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 victory over Mississippi State. Ferguson posted a season-high 55 assists along with 12 digs to give her a double-double and added three kills as well. For the weekend, Ferguson finished with 82 assists, 25 digs, 4 blocks and six kills.

NEXT TIME OUT: The Owls will play a pair of games in Cincinnati, Ohio in a homecoming for Shelby Dennis and Maggie Butkovich. KSU will start with a neutral contest against Northern Kentucky on Friday, Sept. 15 at 6:00 p.m., followed by a Saturday, Sept. 16 game against Xavier at 4:00 p.m., and both games will be played in the Cintas Center on the Xavier campus.
