EUGENE, Ore. – Simon Seid and
Isaiah Rogers along with former Owl
Daniel Haugh competed at the USATF and USATF U20 Championships on Saturday at Hayward Field.
Haugh and Rogers competed in the hammer throw at the USATF Championships. Haugh finished second with a season-best toss of 77.24m (253'5"). His finish secured him a spot in the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary on August 19-27.
Rogers took home 15th with a mark of 67.09m (220'1") in his final event in a KSU uniform. Rogers earned Second Team All-America honors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships and was the ASUN champion in the hammer throw this outdoor season. He also became KSU's second national champion in the Division I era and the second athlete from the ASUN Conference to win an NCAA Championship when he captured the title in the weight throw in March.
Seid took fourth in the pole vault with a clearance of 5.10m (16'8.75") at the USATF U20 Championships. Seid won the pole vault at the ASUN Indoor and Outdoor Championships this season.
