Four Owls Head to Eugene for USATF Outdoor Championships

KENNESAW, Ga. –
Isaiah Rogers (hammer throw), Kelvin Campbell (triple jump) along with former Owl Daniel Haugh (hammer throw) will compete with the best track and field athletes in the country at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
 
Simon Seid will represent KSU at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships.
 
The USATF Championships run Thursday, July 6 through Sunday, July 9 while the USATF U20 Championships are slated for Thursday, July 7 through Sunday, July 9.
 
The top three finishers in each event at the USATF Championships advance to the World Athletics Championships, which will be in Budapest, Hungary on August 19-27.  Athletes must also hit a qualifying standard to advance to Worlds.
 
 
How They Qualified
Rogers qualified with a toss of 71.90m (235'11") at the ASUN Outdoor Championships. That throw won him the gold medal and qualified him for the NCAA East Regionals in the event.
 
Haugh landed a toss of 80.18m (263'1") at the 2022 USATF Championships. That throw won him the event last year.
 
Campbell qualified for this event with a mark of 15.88m (52'1.25") in the triple jump at the ASUN Outdoor Championships.
 
Seid cleared 5.18m (17'0") in the pole vault to earn second place at the KSU Invitational and earn a spot in Eugene.
