KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State softball (19-32, 10-13 ASUN Conference) dropped two games to the FGCU Eagles (31-23, 13-10 ASUN) Saturday inside Bailey Park.
Freshman
Stella Henry shined again at the plate for KSU with an infield single in each contest, extending her reached-base streak to a 2023 team-high 17 games.
FGCU took game one, 3-1 and game two, 3-0.
GAME ONE (L, 1-3)
Henry led off the inning for the Owls with an infield single, extending her reached-base streak to a 2023 team-high 16 games.
FGCU scored in the top of the fourth to take a 2-0 lead.

Mary Greg Anderson from second and cut the Eagle lead to 2-1 in the bottom of the frame.
The Eagles extended their lead back out to two in the fifth to go up 3-1. The Owls were unable to come back to even the score against the Eagles.
Starter
Kenley Hilleary (7-10) pitched a complete game allowing only two earned runs while striking out five.
GAME TWO (L, 0-3)
FGCU scored to open the game and got out to a 1-0 advantage early.
Henry reached base again on an infield single to lead off the first inning for KSU, extending her streak further to 17 games.
The Eagles added two in the fourth to go up 3-0.
Bishop had a stellar second game at the plate, drawing a career-high three walks in the contest.
FGCU's pitching staff held off the Owl offense to secure the win in game two.

The Owls and Eagles' series finale is set for Sunday, May 7 at 11:00 a.m. for Senior Day.
