ATHENS, Ga. – Kennesaw State baseball extended its streak to 10-straight games with a home run in a 10-9 loss against Georgia on Tuesday night at Foley Field. The Owls (22-21) also moved their streak of consecutive games with multiple home runs to eight, courtesy of long balls from Chris Cole and Zac Corbin.
Trailing 9-4 in the ninth inning, the Owls collected five two-out runs to tie the ballgame at nine runs apiece. Donovan Cash plated two on an error by the UGA third baseman before Nick Hassan blasted a bases-loaded double off the left field wall to bring home the tying run from first base.
The Kennesaw State offense posted seven hits against the Bulldogs with four going for extra bases.
Cole launched the first deep fly of the night to right center for his first home run of the year. The outfielder ended the contest 1-for-2 with two walks.
Corbin belted the second KSU homer for his third deep fly of the season. The second baseman finished 1-for-4 with two runs scored and has hit safely in five of his last six games.
Hassan tied his season high with four RBI in a 2-for-3 performance that included two walks. His game-tying double in the ninth inning was his 11th two bagger of the season which is tops on the team.
Other offensive notables included Cash (1-for-5, double, two runs scored) and Jamarie Brooks (1-for-4, RBI).
Brayden Eidson made his fifth start and 11th appearance on the mound. The left-hander tossed the first three innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits with three punchouts. He also finished 1-for-5 at the plate.

A sacrifice fly plated one more for Georgia in its next at-bat, but Corbin led off the fourth with a bomb to left center that pulled the Owls back within two. This marked the eighth-straight contest KSU has hit multiple home runs.
The Bulldogs held a 5-2 lead going into the seventh. With two outs in the frame, Brooks singled on a ground ball to third which scored a hustling Hassan from second base. Hassan slid in just under the tag attempt from the UGA catcher after heading home when the throw took the first baseman up the line.
Georgia led 6-3 in the eighth, when Cash ripped a double to left center. Two batters later, Hassan roped an RBI single up the middle that cut the Bulldogs' advantage to 6-4.
UGA plated three in the eighth to hold a 9-4 lead heading into the Owls' final at bat. With its back against the wall, KSU scratched five runs across to tie the game on a three-RBI double from Hassan.
