Bailey Wilson picked up her first-ever midseason award, as she has been named an
Inside Lacrosse Midseason Second Team All-American.
Wilson, a graduate student from Acworth, Ga., was named to the draw position on the second team. One of the tops in the nation, the second-year transfer from Furman has led the nation in draw controls per game for several weeks during the season, and currently is second overall in the NCAA with 10.8 per contest. That's helped the Owls place 20
th overall in draw controls per game with 15.67.
She posted a career-high 19 against Wofford on March 23, and passed the 100 mark for the season with 15 this past weekend against Coastal Carolina. Her 108 on the year are already the third-highest mark in school history, and she is on pace the shatter the school record of 155 (
Siena Gore in 2022) if she continues at her current pace.
The Owls are back in action with a pair of home games this week, starting first on Thursday at 3 pm against Jacksonville. KSU will close out the week on Saturday with an 11 am contest against Stetson. Both games will be at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
