KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's lacrosse team will play two on the road this week, starting with Thursday afternoon's contest at Liberty at 1 pm in Lynchburg, Va., followed by Saturday morning's 11 a.m. game at Delaware State.
A FEW NOTES
» Kennesaw State enters its final week of road games in conference looking to claim at least one victory that would almost certainly clinch a spot in next month's ASUN Tournament. KSU currently is tied for the last playoff spot with Stetson, but hold the tiebreaker over the Hatters thanks to its 14-12 win in Kennesaw on April 8.
» As a team, the Owls have been impressive on draw controls this year, leading the ASUN and ranking 30th in the nation with 14.9 per game. That's been led by the play of
Bailey Wilson, who is second in the nation with 10.3 per contest.
» Thanks to her play at the draw position, Wilson has been named a midseason Second Team All-American by Inside Lacrosse.
» KSU is also doing a good job of sharing the ball, ranking 34th in the NCAA and second in the ASUN in assists per game with 5.9.
Hannah Barth ranks fifth in the ASUN in assists and leads the Owls in points with 19 goals and 15 assists to total 34 on the season.
Hannah Davis also has 34 points for the year, thanks to 23 goals and 11 assists.
