FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Kennesaw State women's tennis team advanced to round two in the ASUN Conference Championship after defeating Eastern Kentucky, 4-0.

How it Happened
"We had a great start to the tournament today. These ladies have been competing like champions for the past three to four weeks at every spot, and today was no different," said KSU Director of Tennis Matt Emery.

Kennesaw started the match strong, securing the doubles point over Eastern Kentucky.

Sophia Unger (KSUW) secured the final match with a 6-0 victory over Sasha Parkhomenko/Emmeline Polevoi.

The Owls quickly gained three singles points to clinch the victory over the Colonels.

Izabelle Persson set the tone, dominating Mariia Triska 6-0, 6-1 on court six, giving Kennesaw its second point of the match.
Taylor Dean continued the momentum, giving the Owls their third point defeating Mash Fedenko 6-4, 6-0.
Ji Youn Lee finished EKU with the third and final match point, powering over Sasha Parkhomenko 6-4, 6-1.
