JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Another impressive performance in the circle by
Kenley Hilleary was not enough to propel Kennesaw State softball (12-28, 4-10 ASUN Conference) past the Jacksonville Dolphins (20-21, 6-8 ASUN) Saturday.
Hilleary (4-9) pitched her sixth complete game of 2023 with five strikeouts allowing only two hits and one earned run.
The two squads combined only five hits between them in the 6.5-inning contest with Jacksonville scoring the game's lone run in the bottom of the fifth on a sacrifice fly, securing the 1-0 win.
Freshman
Stella Henry extended her reached-base streak to a team-best six games while
Brinaya Bailey improved her hitting streak to a team-best two games.
