Outdoor Meet 2: Kennesaw State at Raleigh Relays

The Kennesaw State track and field programs are set to host the 2023 Don McGarey Invitational on  March 24-25 at  the KSU Outdoor Track and Field Complex.
 
Admission is free and spectators are encouraged to park at the CCT lot at 3221 Busbee Drive NW Kennesaw, GA 30144.

KSU will have seven distance runners competing at the Raleigh Relays on Thursday and Friday.

Kennesaw State, Ashland, Bellarmine, Campbellsville (Ky.), Eastern Kentucky, Hope, Life, Berry, Indiana State, Mercer (women only), Northern Kentucky, Reinhardt, Wofford


LAST TEAM OUTDOOR MEET
The KSU track and field teams competed at the 2022 ASUN Outdoor Championships on May 13-14. The KSU women won and the men took home second place.


NEXT UP
The Owls will compete at Texas Relays on March 29 – April 1 in Austin, Texas.
 

NEWS AND NOTES
» Isaiah Rogers competed for KSU in the men's weight throw at the 2023 NCAA Indoor Championships in Albuquerque. Rogers won the weight throw in thrilling fashion on his final throw with a toss of 24.23 meters or 79 feet 6 inches. He is now KSU's second national champion in the Division I era and the second athlete from the ASUN Conference to win an NCAA Championship.
 
 » The men's track and field team returns to the track after finishing runner-up at the ASUN Conference Indoor Championship. They are looking to win their ninth ASUN Outdoor Conference Championship.
 
» The men scored 178 points at the ASUN Indoor Championship.
 
» Malik Hussie, Tyriq Hussie and Isaiah Rogers were named to the ASUN Indoor All-Academic Team.
 
» Courtney Lawrence and Simon Seid collected ASUN Championship Most Outstanding Performer Awards.
 
» The women's track and field team finished runner-up scoring 155 points at the ASUN Indoor Championship. They are looking to win their second consecutive ASUN Outdoor title.
 
» Sarah Hendrick was named to the ASUN Indoor Track All-Academic Team.
 
» Hendrick competed in the 800m at the NCAA Indoor Championships finishing fifth in a time of 2:03.21. She earned First Team All-America honors by the NCAA and USTFCCCA.
