RICHMOND, Ky. – Kennesaw State men's basketball is looking for a sweep of its road trip through the Kentucky schools in the ASUN when it faces Eastern Kentucky in a battle of top three teams in the league on Saturday night. The game tips off at 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
A FEW NOTES
♦ The Owls are coming in off Thursday's thrilling double-overtime victory at Bellarmine. Last season, KSU came just short of a two-game sweep in Kentucky as it fell 82-81 in triple overtime at EKU, before bouncing back two days later for a five-point win at Bellarmine.
♦ Saturday will be the seventh all-time meeting between the two, though just the fourth as conference members. The Owls have won the past two games, starting with a nine-point win in the 2022 ASUN Tournament First Round, followed by a 79-75 victory in Kennesaw on the first weekend of league play.
♦ KSU is not only the hottest team in the ASUN with a league-best eight-game win streak (a new Division I era record for the Owls), they also have the seventh-longest active streak in the nation. KSU is currently tied for first in the league at 10-1, along with Liberty, while EKU is just two games back in third place at 8-3.
♦ Through the first 10 games of the ASUN schedule, the Owls have been one of the top offensive teams in the conference. In ASUN games only, KSU currently ranks first in scoring (81.5 ppg) and field goal percentage (49.6%), ranks second in both assists (15.6 apg) and scoring margin (+9.3), and is third in three-point percentage (37.6%).
♦ KSU's 90-84 win at Bellarmine extended its school season win total to 18.
