KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's lacrosse team is making by far its longest road trip of the season, as the Owls will be playing the Oregon Ducks in Eugene, Ore., on Sunday, Feb. 26. The game will start at 3 p.m. (ET) and the live stream is available at goducks.com.
Â
A FEW NOTES
Â
» This is a return game for the Owls after last year's win against the Ducks in Kennesaw. That marked the first-ever win against a Power Five program for KSU.
Â
» The Owls are looking to bounce back from their two-game losing streak. It's been the same trend for KSU in both games, getting out to good starts in the first quarter and finishing strong, but an inability to put up enough goals in the second and third quarters.
Â
» Following the trip, the Owls will be off for a week and a half before going on the road again for a mid-week game at Radford on March 8.
Â
» One advantage for Kennesaw State heading into the season, the Owls return nine of 11 starters from last year's squad, and a total of 20 overall players. That helps off set KSU losing 57% of its scoring from a year ago. Looking to help fill that void on offense are midfielders
Hannah Barth and
Mia MacKenzie, along with attackers
Hannah Davis, Carolina Farley and Jaxsyn Shonewille.
