A FEW NOTES
♦ While KSU will earn the #1 seed in next week's ASUN Tournament even if its finishes in a tie for first with the Liberty in the league standings, it will need to have success on the road as in addition to the game at UNA, the Owls will then face Central Arkansas on Friday night.
♦ The Lions are the hottest team in the ASUN, coming in off a five-game win streak and having won nine of their last 10 games, including a road win at Eastern Kentucky in overtime in their most recent action.
♦ The Owls are looking for their first-ever win over North Alabama as a Division I program, as the Lions have won the past seven meetings dating back to the 2018-19 season. KSU's two wins in the series both came during the team's Division II history in the 2003-04 season.
♦ KSU is showing it's learned how to finish games this season, as the Owls are 5-3 in one-possession games after having gone 1-10 in the previous three years combined.
♦ Through the first 14 games of the ASUN schedule, the Owls have been one of the top offensive teams in the conference. In ASUN games only, KSU currently ranks first in field goal percentage (48.0%) and second in scoring (78.9 ppg), scoring margin (+6.5) and third in assists (14.9 apg).
♦ For the first time in KSU's Division I history, the Owls are ranked in a poll, coming in at No. 25 for the second straight week in the most recent edition of the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25.
