KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State men's basketball looks to keep pace with Liberty at the top of the ASUN standings as the Owls are on the road for a pair of games in the state of Kentucky this week, starting with a Thursday night contest at Bellarmine in Louisville. The game tips off at 7:30 p.m., and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
A FEW NOTES
♦ Kennesaw State is not only riding a league-best seven-game win streak, which ranks in the top 10 in the nation, the Owls have also won their last three road contests.
♦ This will be just the fourth all-time meeting between the two schools. The previous three meetings were all won by the road team as well, with the Knights claiming a two-game sweep in Kennesaw in 2021-22. A season ago, the Owls held off Bellarmine 75-70 in Louisville.
♦ The Owls won last week's homestand by an average of 20 points to extend the school record for wins in a season to 17 (Division I era). The previous high was 14 in the 2016-17 season, and there are still eight games left in the regular season.
♦ KSU has been getting off to strong starts over the past two weeks, as the Owls have held a double-digit halftime lead in the past four games leading into the Bellarmine contest. That includes the past two road games as well, a 43-27 lead at Stetson (Jan. 19) and a 36-26 halftime advantage at FGCU (Jan. 21).
♦ Through the first 10 games of the ASUN schedule, the Owls have been one of the top offensive teams in the conference. In ASUN games only, KSU currently ranks first in field goal percentage (50.3%), second in scoring (80.6 ppg), assists (15.7 apg) and scoring margin (+9.6), and is fourth in three-point percentage (37.5%).
