The Lead

KENNESAW, Ga. - The Kennesaw State Owls (4-7) conclude their 2023-24 non-conference home slate and the 2023 calendar year Thursday against the Big East Conferences' Georgetown Hoyas (9-2) for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off inside the KSU Convocation Center.

The home contest comes one week after the Owls' thrilling come-from-behind 53-51 victory over another Big East foe, Providence, at the West Palm Beach Classic. Down 50-31 with 7:52 remaining, KSU went on a 22-1 run to defeat the Friars, who entered the game with a 131 NET ranking. It was the second Power Six win in program history for Kennesaw State and first since Dec. 22, 2014 (61-60 over Xavier - another Big East team).

A win would give the Black and Gold a 10-4 home record during the 2023 calendar year.
