KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State forward Demond Robinson was named Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Owls to their fourth straight win and ASUN-leading eighth victory of the season, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. Robinson is the second Owl to earn Player of the Week honors this season from the ASUN, following Terrell Burden a week ago. This is the first time the Owls have had back-to-back Players of the Week since Yonel Brown and Nigel Pruitt in the 2014-15 season. It is also the first weekly honor of Robinson's career.

A 6-9 senior from Montgomery, Ala., Robinson was on fire in leading the Owls to a 94-84 victory to Presbyterian on Dec. 16 in Clinton, S.C. He knocked down his first eight shots from the field, including all four tries from three-point land. Robinson finished the contest 9-of-10 from the floor for 22 points, just two off his career-high, and his only miss was his final three-pointer (4-of-5). His long-range accuracy was key in opening up the Owls offense, helping KSU shoot a season-high 57.1% from the floor.

NEXT TIME OUT: The Owls are home for the first time in two weeks with a Tuesday night contest against Brescia at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center. A number of special ticket deals will be available for the contest, as it's Home for the H-OWL-idays Night, and fans will be able to get photos with Scrappy Claus in the Convocation Center lobby. Faculty and staff tickets for the night in the lower level are just $5, while there is also a Coats for Kids ticket deal, and any fan that brings in a coat to donate will receive a free ticket.
