KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State guard Terrell Burden was named Atlantic Sun Men's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Owls to a pair of wins, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. Burden is the first Owl to earn Player of the Week honors this season from the ASUN, and is the first since Brandon Stroud was named twice in the 2022-23 season. This is also the first weekly honor of Burden's career.

Burden, a 5-10 senior from Smyrna, Ga., averaged team-highs of 17.5 points, 8.0 assists and 3.0 steals while also leading KSU in both field goal percentage (56%) and three-point percentage (50%) in a 79-76 home overtime win over UNC Asheville (Dec. 5) and a road win at USC Upstate (Dec. 9).

In the 84-77 win at Upstate, Burden was unstoppable on offense, punishing the Spartans with drive after drive into the paint. He finished the night 9-of-12 from the floor (75%) while dishing out six assists and adding a season-high five steals. He began the week with his second double-double of the season, and the third in his career, after tallying 15 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in the victory over the preseason favorites from the Big South.

NEXT TIME OUT: The Owls, will conclude a stretch of three straight games against Big South competition when they travel to the Palmetto State to face Presbyterian on Saturday in a 2 p.m. contest in Clinton, S.C.
