ATLANTA – Kennesaw State women's soccer placed two on the Atlantic Sun Conference Postseason Teams, the league office announced Wednesday. Senior Tianna Rivera was named to the All-Atlantic Sun Third Team, while freshman Anabel Orozco landed on the All-Freshman team.
Rivera's accolade signifies her second postseason award as she earned an All-Freshman team nod in the spring of 2021. She racked up 1,260 minutes in 18 games played, all of which she started in, making her one of only two Owls to do so.
Rivera ended the season leading the team in several categories including shots (30), shots on goal (22) and shot on goal percentage (.733). Her two goals this season were tied for the team lead. She knocked them both through during ASUN play versus EKU and Stetson with the Stetson goal being a game winner.
Orozco claimed an All-Freshman team spot after collecting 661 minutes in her 16 games played. She ended the regular season tied for second on the team in goals with her astounding score versus South Alabama. The forward put together 14 shots with four being on goal.
You can catch the Owls Thursday night versus #7 Austin Peay in the first round of the ASUN Championship in Fort Myers, Fla. at 5 p.m.
