I am what you would call a SUPER senior here at KSU. I'm currently in my seventh season on the football team and I have loved every second of it.

I had a few offers from a few different universities, but KSU offered me the best scholarship package. I love playing football and I was thankful that KSU was allowing me to pursue my passion for the game, but I also know how important academics are – and I was most impressed and moved by the way KSU wanted to help me succeed on the field and in the classroom.

It took me about a year to commit to majoring in business. After some very good advice from an advisor and some personal reflection, this led me to consider how I could best set myself up for success after KSU, and I decided a business degree was the right path for me. Having the flexibility to follow my heart and pursue a career path that interests me is such a blessing.

Now, I know I’d love to pursue the next level with football and continue playing and moving up, but I would also love to help other students enjoy the sport that I love so much. I know that being a high school football coach would be fantastic! Just think how amazing it would be sharing football with other students who just need someone to believe in them and push them to believe in themselves. 

I am immensely thankful to have so many opportunities for personal and professional growth at KSU. I am constantly and consistently impressed by the way community members come forward to support me and students like me at KSU. I’d like to express my sincere thanks to all of you who choose KSU each day. You choose us when you come to Fifth Third Stadium and cheer us on and when you encourage us, and when you give in support of our students, to each of you I say THANK YOU!! 

I was awarded a FULL scholarship my sophomore season. The scholarship helped me out tremendously. It eased my financial burden in regard to housing, meals, financial stress, lack of support, or relationship struggles. The list could go on! 

Most importantly it helped my family. I come from a large family. I have three brothers and three sisters. At one point during my time at KSU, there was three of us in college at the same time. Putting one child through college is very expensive but could you imagine having three at the same time?! With my full scholarship, I didn't have to burden my parents financially. Most importantly I can say I will leave college with ZERO debt! 

I also want to take a moment to show my appreciation to my head coach, Coach Brian Bohannon.

His leadership and dedication have been vital to our success thus far. As we take on this new journey to Conference USA, we know that we couldn't have a better leader by our side. Thank you Coach Bo for everything you do and everything you've done for me.  

I’d like to say to our donors, your generosity is more than just financial support. Your belief in us, your investment in our dreams, and your unwavering support are the foundations upon which we stand and excel. 

On behalf of every student-athlete, every coach, and every member of the KSU Athletics community, I want to express our heartfelt appreciation. Thank you for your resources, your love, and your dedication to the growth and success of our athletic programs and our university.
