MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team collected a 4-3 win over Alabama State on Friday at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center.

"I thought we showed tremendous leadership across the board following a poor start in the doubles," Director of Tennis Matt Emery said. "We are excited to compete as hard as we can again tomorrow against a tough Samford team on the road."

KSU secured four singles wins to grab its 13th consecutive win in the series over the Hornets.

ASU won the doubles point with victories on courts one and three.

Harvey Conway grabbed a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ruan Du Preez on court two. Freshman
Anthony Weingarten downed Alexandre Verlaguet 6-1, 6-3.
Hugo Salmeron collected his first win of the year over Samrakshyak Bajracharya 6-2, 6-4.
Seru Tezuka downed Matis Amier by a score of 6-3, 6-3 to secure the win for KSU.
