KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State hosts a pair of big ASUN men's basketball games this week in the Convocation Center, starting with a Black Out game against Jacksonville on Thursday night. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center, and all fans are encouraged to wear black, while the first 1,000 fans will receive a free Black KSU T-Shirt. The contest will also be streamed live on ESPN+.
A FEW NOTES
♦ Thursday's game is being presented by Pritchard Injury Firm.
♦ This will be the only game between the two this season, and a win over JU would be key for the Owls in their bid for a top-four conference finish. The teams split the season series a year ago, with both teams winning on their home courts.
♦ The Owls are just a 30-foot buzzer-beating three-pointer away from being undefeated in the ASUN, but still bring in a 3-1 mark into the contest, which ties them for second along with three other teams. The Dolphins meanwhile are 2-2 in league action, having dropped both of their road contests.
♦ Both teams pride themselves on their defense, but each will showcase a different defensive style on Thursday night. JU will slow down the game and make it was difficult as possible to score inside, holding teams to just 38.9% shooting. KSU meanwhile plays more aggressively on defense looking to force turnovers and rushed shots and ranks 32nd in the nation in steals (8.9 spg).
