BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Kennesaw State women's soccer team fought back after a slow start, but UAB proved to be too much to overcome in a 7-2 defeat on Thursday night at PNC Field.
UAB's Stella Lawson scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of action to take control of the match early and the Blazers added another goal in the 35
th minute to build a 4-0 lead.
Seeing the first action of her young Owl career,
Stella Allen struck a beautiful ball into the back right corner of the net for her first career goal minutes before halftime to make it 4-1.
Macie Rainwater continued the Owls' offensive attack four minutes into the second half with her first goal of the season on an assist from
Brenna Young to cut the deficit to 4-2.
The Blazers regained the momentum and tacked on three more goals for the 7-2 victory.

The Owls return to Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Sunday for a match against Georgia State at 6 p.m.
